Captains Blog- HotLanta

After spending a few weeks in the offices in New York it was nice to get back on the road. My first stop was Atlanta. I went to a Starwood event at a really cool place called Tin Pin Alley. The space was a bowling alley, full bar and restaurant. The turnout was great for the event and the people were a lot of fun.

While in Atlanta, I had the opportunity to meet an old friend for dinner. We went to a place called Two Urban Licks, located at 820 Ralph McGill Blvd. I arrived a bit before my friend and was surprised to see how industrial the space was. I took advantage of the time and hung out in the bar area for a bit. As I was waiting I noticed the restaurant was one large area with really high ceilings. The walls were all brick and one wall was covered in interesting glass lamps. They had various elements throughout the space to draw your eyes up to highlight the height. It was an impressive place. They also had a three piece jazz band which was pretty good.

One of the signature items at Two Urban Licks is their infused vodka. I can't speak for it first handedly though I hear it's great. For food we went the appetizer route. We ended up having four or five and they were all good. I recommend this hot spot when visiting Atlanta.
